L. Robert Cannon has worked in operations and management of the provider segment of the healthcare industry for more than 40 years. He has served as the CEO for hospitals, a Corporate CEO for National Development and Operations of Healthcare Ancillary Services (including home health agencies, outpatient radiology clinics, laboratory services, ambulance services and hemodialysis facilities), and is the Founder of Medical Office Consulting Specialists, LLC.

During the past 40 years, he has provided assistance and guidance in the development, management and operations of health care entities across the United States including Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Mr. Cannon has given lectures/presentations to medical residents entering the medical practice world and taught practice management courses in medical training programs. He also maintains status as a Professor at Western International University where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in business strategy, operations and management, and entrepreneurship.

Medical Office Consulting Specialists, LLC began in 1988. Mr. Cannon began this full-scope practice management business by assisting several independent Phoenix, Arizona physicians (both primary care and specialist) with the operation and management of their medical practices. Since that time, the changes in Medicare and other health insurance reimbursements, along with the ever-increasing guidelines regulating the provision of patient care, have fostered the need for all medical practices to operate both as providers of health care as well as businesses. As Founder of Medical Office Consulting Specialists, Mr. Cannon is the principal liaison in working with physicians who are in the initial stages of practice start-up, as well as those who want to improve their financial results through improved business procedures and operations decisions. His expertise, hands-on-administrative style, and business experiences give him the solid background needed to provide new and existing physicians with start-up and ongoing operational guidance.
